Matrude "Trudie" Reddington

March 12, 1935 — January 6, 2011

Matrude “Trudie” Reddington, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011, at the Groesbeck LTC, where she had been a resident for several years. She was age 75. Trudie was born March 12, 1935 to Wallace and Bennie LeMore in New Jersey; however the family moved to San Antonio where she grew up. She lived many years of her life in Del City, OK. with her three children. She later married Ray Reddington in Del City, and they moved to Abilene, where they lived together several years. Trudie moved later to Alamogordo, New Mexico, and lived there until failing health required her to move to the Groesbeck LTC to be closer to her daughter. During her life, Trudie was an excellent homemaker, loved to cook and make ceramics and other crafts. Trudie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ray Reddington of Norman, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Bennie and Mike Smith of Mexia, son and daughter-in-law, Wallace and Angela Lindsey of Teague, and daughter and son-in-law, Ruthie and Joe Allison of Teague; grandchildren, Kadie B Miller of Mexia, Shea Lindsey of Waco, Asa Hanrahan of Houston, Casey Hankins and husband Tim of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and great grandson, Reese of Fayetteville, NC.; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and David Marble of Sante Fe, NM; brother and sister-in-law, Wallace and Marianne LeMore of San Marcos. She is also survived by several step-children, and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give a very special thanks to Groesbeck LTC and staff, and to Texas Home Healthcare Hospice.
