Raymundo (Raymond) Arredondo Sanchez

Raymundo Arredondo Sanchez, (Raymond), of Groesbeck, passed away without any prior illness, on Sunday, April 14, 2013. He passed away at Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck at age 68. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Daniel officiating. Funeral services are being planned for later in the week to be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mexia. The date and time will be posted on the Groesbeck Funeral Home website obituary. Raymond will be buried in Pantion Municipal in San Luis De La Paz. GT0, Mexico after the services in Mexico. Raymond was born January 1, 1945 to Miguel Sanchez and Isidra Arredondo in San Luis De La Paz, GTO. He still has family in Mexico, including his wife and three of his children. Raymond came to the Groesbeck area in 1982, and has worked the thirty-one years since then as a farm and ranch laborer. He worked his first year here for Dennis Walker and the remainder of the time for Charles Sidney Smith and son, Chuck Smith. A large number of Raymond’s family also moved to Groesbeck, and he has a daughter in Memphis, Tennessee. Raymond returned twice a year to Mexico to visit his wife and family. Raymond was a hard worker, who devoted his life to working to support his family, and will be missed by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Isidra Diaz Sanchez in San Luis De La Paz, GTO, Mexico; son and daughter-in-law, Miguel Sanchez and Ana Sanchez of Groesbeck; daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Johnny Montoya of Groesbeck; daughter and son-in-law, Lupe and Dicionico Rivera of Groesbeck; son and daughter-in-law, Javier and Carmen Sanchez of Mexia; son and daughter-in-law, Gustavo Sanchez and Lucila Vazquez of Mexia; son and daughter-in-law, Hector and Flor Sanchez of Mexia; daughter and son-in-law, Imelda and Miguel Duarte of Memphis, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Rigo Sanchez and Mayola Gonzalez of Groesbeck; daughter and son-in-law, Roico and Oscar Rivera of GTO, Mexico; daughter and son-in-law, Audelia and Damian Arredondo of GTO, Mexico; son, Rene Sanchez, of GTO, Mexico; thirty-seven grandchildren; 1 sister in Mexia; and two sisters and three brothers in Mexico.
