George Lee Audd

George Lee Audd, of Thornton, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014, at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, at age 86.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 21, 2014, at the Central Baptist Church in Thornton, with Reverend Tracy Sims officiating.  Burial will follow in Cobb Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Brian Fink, Robert Penaloza, Sidney Favors, Michael "Mike" Lawson, Bill Reidinger, and Danny Wilson.   Servicing as honorary pallbearers are Lester Blalock, Bill Neason, David Hughes, and Pat Manchac.George was born November 10, 1927 to Leland and Lucille Audd in Muskogee, OK.  George grew up in Kilgore, where he owned and operated an upholstery business for many years.   He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Navy.   George married Ernestine (Collins) Wilson and moved to Thornton eleven years ago.  He was a real people person, and loved good food and good friends and the time spent with them.   He was a member of teh Central Baptist Church of Thornton.    He was preceded in death by his parents.George is survived by his wife, Ernestine Wilson-Audd of Thornton.   He is also survived by his sister, Joann Gailbreath of Longview, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
