Margaret Ruth Webb

Margaret Ruth Webb, of Groesbeck, passed away at Mexia on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at age 56. Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral services be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 9, 2014 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tracy Sims officiating.   Burial will follow in Lost Prairie Cemetery. Margaret was born September 28, 1957 in Houston.   At age 8 years old, she and a brother, Johnny, were specially chosen by Clifton and Hattie (Abbott) Webb and adopted.   They lived in Groesbeck where she graduated from Groesbeck High School.   Margaret spent most of her adult life in the home health care field, as well as raising her daughter.   They lived in several different towns but had lived in Groesbeck the last twenty years. In addition to taking care of people and family, she loved animals. Margaret was preceded in death by her father Clifton, and her mother, Hattie Webb (in 2009); her brothers, Johnny Webb and David Gorney; and her uncle Condell Webb. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Browning and her boyfriend, Andrew Arnold, of Groesbeck; grandson, Christopher Brock of Groesbeck; birth sisters, Gail McRee and Jennifer Johnson of Houston; and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
