Clifford Wayne Meredith

Clifford Wayne Meredith of Groesbeck passed away Friday May 16, 2014 at Limestone Medical Center. Visitation will be held Sunday May 18, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday May 19, 2014 at 2 PM in the Groesbeck Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Tracy Sims and Ron Driskell officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery. Clifford was born December 13, 1949 in Mexia to Clifford Thomas and Dorothy Coryne Teer Meredith. He graduated from Wortham High School and worked as a field inspector in the oil and gas industry. Clifford was a member of Central Baptist Church in Thornton. He is preceded in death by his father Clifford Thomas Meredith and mother Dorothy Coryne Teer Meredith Hilscher and stepfather George Hilscher. He was also preceded in death by his grandmothers Veola “Baby” Teer and Ruby Hicks Meredith and grandfathers Clyde Thomas Meredith and Leonard Teer. Clifford is survived by his wife of 44 years Linda Meredith of Groesbeck; son, Chris Meredith of Houston; daughters, Kolby Morgan and husband Mika of Groesbeck and Heather Meredith of Dallas; sisters Glenda Smalley and husband Elmer of Forney and Joan Lewis and husband Bobby of Houston; grandson, Zack Morgan of Groesbeck, granddaughter Dani Morgan of Groesbeck as well as a host of friends.
