Garilyn Hutchinson

July 10, 1949 — August 28, 2014

A woman filled with joy. A woman filled with love. A woman whose heart was strong, now shines from up above. Garilyn Hutchinson (Gari Lynn or Goo) 65 of Groesbeck, TX entered into her eternal home on Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was surrounded by her loved ones when she took her last breath at Temple Scott and White Hospital. The most cherished people in her life where her children, grandchildren, great granddaughter and close family and friends. Garilyn was born July 10, 1949 to Gary and Nita Gay in Teague, TX. She was not the only child. She grew up with her sister Donna and brother Rusty. She attended Teague ISD and finished school in Groesbeck, TX. Garilyn married Grandvel Hutchinson in 1983 while living in Midland, TX and working for Claydesta Corporation. During their marriage they had two beautiful daughters. Garilyn loved cooking for her family (anyone eat her fried chicken?) She made Christmas stockings for her kids and was working on finishing up the one's for her grandkids and great granddaughter. She loved to just get in the car and go riding and getting something good to eat. Better make sure they had ketchup-she ate ketchup on everything. Garilyn is survived by Niki Henderson and husband Steven of Groesbeck; Kristi Hutchinson of Groesbeck; David Broxton and wife Tammy of Virginia; Sharon Winkle and husband Johnny of Cleveland, TX.; 8 grandchildren: Cynamon Walters of Waco, Kristopher Hutchinson, Gabby Hutchinson, Kyla Evans all of Groesbeck, Michael Broxton and J.J. Broxton of VA, and Taylor and Justin Winkle of Cleveland, TX; 1 great-granddaughter, Jordyn Walters of Groesbeck; sister Donna Stewart and husband Terry of Groesbeck; brother Rusty Gay and wife Lisa of Tomball; and uncle Danny Hewitt and wife Cindy of Groesbeck. She was preceded in death by her husband Grandvel Hutchinson, her father Gary Gay, and her mother Nita Lynch. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Church on the Rock (Hwy. 14 N, Groesbeck.) After the memorial, lunch will be served.
