Patricia Ann "Pat" Beaver

Patricia Ann “Pat” Beaver, of Palmer, passed away at Charleton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, on Sunday, September 7, 2014, following many years of poor health. She was 74. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 9, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Steve Oliver of the Maypearl Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Cobb Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richy Wilson, Cody Wilson, Cade Wilson, Damon Stone, Jarrett Stone, and Matthew Dawley. Pat was born June 17, 1940 in Groesbeck to J.B. Wilson and Athene Imogene (Lenamond) Wilson. In her sophmore year in Groesbeck High School, she was voted “Most Beautiful Girl.” She graduated in the Class of 1958. Pat was united in marriage with her high school sweetheart, Bobby Threston Beaver, on July 4, 1958, in Groesbeck. She and Bobby ran their own business for twenty-six years, where she was the bookkeeper. They lived and had a business in Hutchins for thirteen years, from 1965 through 1980. In 1980, they built a home in rural Ellis County, and owned an auto parts business in Lancaster, which they operated from 1985 until 1998. Pat was a member of the Church of Christ, and was baptized in 1958 at Davis Chapel (Limestone County.) She attended Belt Line and Main Church of Christ in Lancaster. She loved shopping with her daughter Stacy (her shopping buddy), and flower gardening. Her primary interests in life were her home and her family. Pat was preceded in death by her father, J. B. Wilson; her mother-in-law, Mildred Castleberry; father-in-law, J. T. Beaver; and sister-in-law, Shirley Davis. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Threston Beaver of Palmer; daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Jim Stone of Palmer; son and daughter-in-law, James and Kacye Beaver of Jacksboro; grandson, Damon Stone of Palmer, grandson and wife, Jarrett and Courtney Stone of Dallas; granddaughter, Mallory Beaver of Jacksboro; her mother, Athene Wilson of Groesbeck; her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Janell Wilson of Groesbeck; step-father-in-law, Buck Castleberry of Groesbeck; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Gerry Beaver of Stephenville and Kay and Fred Dawley of Groesbeck; and also many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
