Dale Eugene Dougherty, Jr.

Dale E. Dougherty, Jr., of Waco, passed away at Crestview Healthcare Residence in Waco on Thursday, Novemer 27, 2014, at age 52. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 5, 2014, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Richard Williams of the Church of Christ in Groesbeck will conduct the services. Burial will follow in Old Bethel Cemetery near Groesbeck. Dale was born to Dale Dougherty, Sr. and Melba Melanie (Freeman) Dougherty Romanenko on March 14, 1962 in Waco. He worked in Dallas as a telemarketer until disabled a few years ago, when he moved back to Waco. Dale was preceded in death by his mother, Melody Romanenko in 2012. He is survived by his father, Dale Dougherty, Sr. of Waco; daughters, Nichole Nichols and Stephanie Danielle Whitehead of Waco and granddaughter, Hailie Whitehead of Waco; half-brother, Richard Harrison; aunt, Helyn Webb of Edna and formerly of Groesbeck; aunt, Donna Chaves of Corpus Christi; uncle, Dennis Dougherty of McKinney; and many cousins.
