Adrian Carroll Hunter, 92, longtime resident of Houston, died Thursday, January 29, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Eutaw Cemetery, Kosse, TX., with Rev. Jack Wren officiating. A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD IN HOUSTON ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2015, AT 1:00 P.M. Arian was born in Kosse, TX to James Hunter and Madge Gunn Hunter in 1922, and grew up in Kosse with 7 brothers and 2 sisters. He was a World War II Veteran, enlisting on October 21, 1942 and serving in the U. S. Army Air Force, as an airplane and engine mechanic, through March 1946. Adrian was a professional hair stylist for over 40 years at Emile’s Beauty Salon in the River Oaks Center on West Gray, and subsequently, at Junior’s Hair Salon for fifteen years. His clientele consisted of many prominent Houstonians as well as celebrities who were visiting Houston. Adrian was predeceased by all of his siblings. He is survived by his niece, Sherry Hill, and her husband, Roger, of Plano, and many nieces and nephews. His surviving group of friends and acquaintances in the Houston area will greatly miss his congenial nature, joking and banter. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, Unity Church of Christianity, or the charity of your choice.
