Frankie Merle Lewis

Frankie Merle White Lewis of Tomball and formerly of Groesbeck, returned to heaven on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at the age of 90 years. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glenn Easterly of the Old Union Church of Christ and Bro. Randy Lewis of the New Life Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Daffron, James Lewis, Robert Lewis, Randy Lewis, Michael Lewis, and Brandon Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Lewis, Jacob Lewis, Marcus Barber, Shane Lewis, Shawn Lewis, Kandi Lewis, Kelli Lewis, Tracy Daffron, Teri Stapleton, and Teresa Lavell. Frankie was born in Groesbeck on December 6, 1924 to George and Wilmoth White. She was married to RC Lewis on December 26, 1942 in Groesbeck. During their long marriage they resided in many places, but always considered Groesbeck their home, and returned to live there in retirement. Frankie was a life-long member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband RC, son James, great-granddaughter Jadin Lewis, brother J.C. White, sister Inamell (White)Nettles and sister Billie (Lewis)Casey. Frankie is survived by her daughter, Judy Turner and husband John English of Corpus Christi; sons, Bill Lewis and wife Nita of Montgomery, TX, Larry Lewis and wife Holly of Porter, TX and RC Lewis, Jr. and wife Wendy of Tomball, TX; sister Willie Wicht; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
