Curtis Lee Sullivan

Curtis Lee Sullivan of Groesbeck passed away Wednesday November 25, 2015 at his home. Visitation will be prior to the funeral service on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 8-10AM at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10AM Monday November 30, 2015 at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Thornton City Cemetery. Curtis was born in Pratt, Kansas to Marvin Sullivan and Vada Irene (Ritterhouse) Sullivan. As an adult, he worked in the oil and gas fields, traveling on many jobs in Kansas, Louisiana and Texas. He retired about eight years ago from Anadarko. Curtis met Thelma Bullard four years ago, and they were married on July 22, 2013 in Groesbeck, where they made their home. They enjoyed taking trips together for each anniversary. Although Curtis had health problems all the time they knew each other, his death still came unexpectedly and much too soon in their time together. They loved each other greatly and he will be dearly missed. Curtis is survived by his wife, Thelma Sullivan of Groesbeck; daughter and son-in-law, Nina and Dustin Williams of Irving; son, Marty Sullivan and his wife Ashley of Wortham; grandchildren, Kirsten Williams and Raylynn Williams of Irving an Dominic Sullivan of Wortham; and brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Peggy Sullivan of Uvalde.
