Lanell Bone

Mabel Lanell (Smith) Bone, of Arlington, was received into the hands of God Monday, June 15, 2009, at age 74. She passed away at an Arlington hospital. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ in Arlington. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 19, 2009, at the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ at 6012 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd., Arlington. Interment will be at Hogan Cemetery near Groesbeck at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, June 19. Lanelle was born December 8, 1934, to J. T. and Mabel Smith at Groesbeck. She grew up in Groesbeck until the family moved to Grand Prairie, where she graduated in 1955. She later moved to Arlington, and was a longtime member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ in Arlington. Lanelle was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Wayne Smith and sister-in-law Joann Smith, who are all buried at Hogan Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Ken Bone, of Arlington, grandchildren, Courtney Bone and Mitchell Bone of Arlington, and two brothers, Jack Smith and wife Betty of Farmers Branch, and Jerry Smith and wife Joan of Carrolton, and numerous nephews and other relatives.
