Annie Joyce Hawkins

Annie Joyce (Henderson) Hawkins of Waxahachie passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living in Waxahachie. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11 AM at LaSalle Cemetery with Rusty McMahon officiating. Annie was born July 7, 1932 in the Ben Hur Community to James W. Henderson, Sr. and Reba Tula (Williams) Henderson. She graduated from Groesbeck High School in 1953. After high school she was self-employed as a seamstress and mainly worked with upholstery as well as car and truck interior customizations. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hawkins; both parents; three brothers, James Henderson, Jr., Merl Henderson and Bill Henderson and one sister, Christine Wright. Annie is survived by her son, Drake Hawkins and wife Sheila and grandchildren, Haley Hawkins and Wyatt Hawkins all of Waxahachie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
