J. Reyes Morales

J. Reyes Morales of Groesbeck, age 47, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017, at Providence Hospital in Waco following a lengthy illness for the past several years. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12PM Noon, Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Mexia with Father Justin Nuygen celebrating. Burial will follow at Faulkenberry Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Miguel Morales, Stetson Vest, Raul Luna, Lazaro Salazar, Martin Balderas and Joe Montoya. Reyes was born January 6, 1970 in Mexico. During the past 26 years he and his family have lived in the Groesbeck area, including his devoted wife, four beautiful daughters and many other family members. He worked for Wayland Oates, a local rancher, and was a custodian for Groesbeck ISD for many years until his health declined. Reyes was devoted to the Catholic Church all his life. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Nemecio Morales. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Morales of Groesbeck; daughters, Elizabeth Morales, Nancy Morales, Jessica Morales and Daisy Morales all of Groesbeck; granddaughter, Holly Vest and son-in-law, Stetson Vest of Groesbeck; brothers, Miguel Morales of Groesbeck and Alejandro Morales of Mexico; niece, Christina Morales of Groesbeck; parents, Felix and Maria (Castro) Morales of Groesbeck; mother-in-law, Rosa Yolanda Garcia of Groesbeck; sister-in-law, Maria Lourdes Morales of Mexico and many other friends and extended family.
