Carol Rene Pennington

Carol Rene Pennington, of Groesbeck, passed away at Parkview Hospital in Mexia on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at age 70. Carol was born February 5, 1947 in Mexia to Ralf Edward Slaughter and Gelerdine Marie (Howell) Slaughter. She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Priscilla Gordon of Groesbeck, Edward and Amy Gordon of Flynn, Marshall Gordon of Thornton, and Danny Gordon of Groesbeck. The grandchildren are: Ashley Nicole Gordon of Groesbeck, Dustin Paul Gordon and wife Laci of Midland, Johnathan Gordon of Jewett, Danyell Gordon and children Amanda McKinsey and Kelly Setters of Groesbeck, Matthew Gordon of Centerville, Heather Gordon of Centerville, Joshua Gordon, Christopher Gordon, and Clayton Gordon of Groesbeck. Her sisters and brothers are: Sherry Slaughter of Needvill, Annett McCustian, Don Steven of Waco; and nieces and nephews: Brandi Garcia of Needvill, Doug Hinson, Terry Justin Ayers of Marquez Michael McCustian and Crystal McCustian of Jewett.
