Geneva R. Gill

Geneva (Rasco) Gill, of Longmont, CO. passed away October 15, 2017, at age 92. She will be laid to rest in Cobb Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 19, 2017. Funeral services have been held earlier in Longmont, Colorado, prior to her burial in Limestone County, Texas. Geneva was born in rural Limestone County and graduated from Groesbeck High School. She married Sam Gill while working at VA in Houston, and they raised their children in Houston and Sugar Land. After her husband passed away and just before she turned 90, Geneva moved to Colorado where she enjoyed family, neighbors, friends and a beautiful home in Longmont. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie and Bernice Rasco; husband Sam Gill; brothers, Virgil, Grady, Walter and Hubert Rasco, and sisters, Velma and Elaine. She is survived by her children, Mike Gill and wife Debbie, Patricia Gill, Paul Gill, and Sammie Jones. Grandchildren, Tiffany Smith (Bryan), David Gill, Rob Jones (Jaye), Casey Jones (Gail Parker); and great grandchildren: Audrey Smith, Stephen Jones, and Sean Jones. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Kari Schoenwald, whom she considered her "other kid."
