Nadine Arda Hurst

Nadine Adra Hurst, of Groesbeck, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Providence Hospice Place in Waco, at age 87. Visitation will be Friday, October 20, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 21, 2017, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Marcus Sheffield of First Baptist Church of Mexia officiating. Burial will follow in Cotton Gin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons: John McClinton, Tyler Hurst, Cade Staggs, Stetson Staggs, Evan Bodnar, and Peyton Pruett. Nadine was born February 1, 1930 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Everett Louis and Helen Hensley. She was united in marriage with Lloyd Buster Hurst on August 23, 1945 in Stratford, TX. They lived many years in Houston before moving to Limestone County. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lloyd B. Hurst; son, Douglas C. Hurst; granddaughter, Jay Hughes; and great granddaughter-in-law, Amanda Foley. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Everett and Melva Hurst of Teague; daughter and son-in-law, Sissy and Rocky Foley of Donie; son and daughter-in-law, Curtiss and Kerrie Hurst of Teague; daughters, Rhonda Hurst of Teague, Anna Pruett of Teague, and Charlie Hurst of Teague; 22 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
