Jose Roman Frias

Jose Roman Frias passed away at his home in Groesbeck on Friday, January 5, 2018, on his 94th. Birthday. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. with the Rosary at 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, January 10, 2017, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mexia, by Father Justin Nyugen. Burial will follow in Cobb Cemetery near Groesbeck. Pallbearers will be Martin Gonzalez, Jr., Raul Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez, Sesar Rivera, Guadalupe Roman, and Jose Vidales, Jr. Jose was born January 5, 1924 to Refugio Roman and Maria Ines Frias in Villanueva, Zacatecas, Mexico. He is survived by his daughter, Ignacia Roman Vidales and husband Isaac Lopez of Mexico; son, Eusebio Roman of LA, California; son, Urbano Roman Vidales of Groesbeck; daughter, Jeronima Roman and her husband Martin Gonzalez of Groesbeck; son, Inosencio Roman and his wife, Joy Roman of Gerber, CA; daughter, Maria del Refugio Roman and husband Cruz Gonzalez of LA, CA; daughter, Maria de Jesus Roman and husband Antonio Campos of North Hollywood, CA; son, Pedro Roman Vidales of LA, CA; and son, Jose Roman Vidales and wife Trine Marie Vidales of Jewett. There are more than 60 grandchildren and more than 90 great grandchildren in his family, and numerous extended family.
