Reba Allene O'Neal

Reba Allene O’Neal of Groesbeck passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at her home in Missouri City, Texas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral services from 9-10 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Chad Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at O’Neal Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chad Sparks, Caleb Sparks, Joe Sykora, Steve Melton and Gray Gibson. Reba was born in Kosse on January 26, 1918 to Charles and Mattie (Brooks) Riggs. She grew up near Thornton and attended Pleasant Grove School. On Dec. 24, 1935, Reba married Claude O’Neal. They were married for 65 years. For most of her life Reba enjoyed quilting and sewing which included making clothes for her grandchildren. She was also a wonderful cook and well known for her chocolate pies. Reba was a life-long member of the Church of Christ and was baptized when she was 13 years old. Reba is preceded in death by her husband, Claude William O’Neal; daughters, Annette Rasco and Linda Gibson and grandson, Scott Gibson. She is survived by son-in-law’s, Solon Rasco of Missouri City and Marvin Gibson of Victoria; granddaughters, Tracey Rasco of Magnolia and Leah Sparks and husband Chad of Mansfield; 9 great-grandchildren, Drew Melton, Lauren Sykora, Lindsey Melton, Alyssa Melton, Gray Gibson, Caleb Sparks, Bethany Sparks, Brooke Gibson and Joel Sparks; great great-grandchild, Torren Melton.
