Hattie Marie Hearon

Hattie Marie Hearon, of Mart, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010, at the Veterans Hospital in Temple, at age 54. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 14, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Cobb Cemetery, with Reverend Joe Tucker officiating. Hattie was born June 19, 1956 to Eugene Daniel Harborth and Helen Trantham Harborth at Hebbronville. She grew up and attended school primarily in Alice although the family lived in various locations in her youth. The family moved to Thornton in 1979 and resided there through 2000. She had lived the last three years with her son and family in Mart. Hattie joined the U. S. Army in 1989 and served in Forth Dix, New Jersey and Fort Hood until medically discharged in 1991. She was a member of the Thornton Assembly of God Church. Hattie was a homemaker, Mother, Grandmother, and caring friend to many in the community. She was known as Mom to her children and all their friends, and as Mimmie to the younger generation of grandchildren and their friends. Her home was always open to anybody. She had a very kind heart - a heart of gold. Hattie was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Daniel Harborth; and both of her twin daughters, Dora Sue Woodall in 1990 and Lora Ann Woodall in 2002. She is survived by her mother, Helen Adkins of Mt. View, AR; three sons and their families, James E. Woodall Jr. and wife, Christine of Mart, Eugene Daniel Woodall of Riesel, and William Esco Hearon and wife Jessica of Marlin; 13 grandchildren, Angela Rogers, Hannah Rogers, Johnny Rogers, Brittany Rogers, Tyler Nobles, Jesse Woodall, Brenden Woodall, Katheryn Woodall, Nicholas Hearon, William Hearon, Justin Daniel Woodall, Dylan McClelland, and Aarron McClelland; 1 great grandchild, Dwyatt Alexander Smith of Newton; and a sister, Helen Louise Tucker and her husband, Reverend Calvin Tucker of Newton.
