Attarie was born on July 29, 1929, to James Daniel Cutright and Lydia Agnes (Broadway) Cutright in Provencal, Louisiana. She grew up there through her elementary school years, and then the family moved to Goodwill, LA, where she graduated from Pioneer High School.
Attarie met Delbert Coleman Anders while she was in school, and on August 28, 1948, they were united in marriage. She was 19 and he was serving in the Marines. In 1950, Coleman and Attarie moved to Dallas, but she returned to Bastrop, LA for the births of their two daughters in 1951 and 1953.
Attarie worked as a beautician in the beauty shop she owned in Dallas in the sixties and seventies. The family was blessed with the birth of a son, Glenn, in 1964. As the girls were older and in school, he grew up in the company of his mother at her beauty shop and was greatly spoiled by her friends and customers.
The family moved to the Honest Ridge community outside Groesbeck in 1976, and Glenn graduated from Groesbeck High School. Attarie worked for a time at the Teague Nursing Home for Elenor Holmes.
She was well known around Mexia as a Master garage sale participant and an antique dealer. She bought and sold antiques from her business located in Mexia for around 15 years. She enjoyed a good amount of her life around her beauty shop and antique shop customers and then enjoyed her life as a grandmother. Attarie was a firm member of Baracca Church (Houston) with Bible Study on tapes by Bob Thieme.
Family was very important to Attarie. She shared many family stories in detail, bringing ancestors and family history to life for the next generations.
Attarie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judith; brother, Benny Cutright; brother-in-law, Charles Camplen; and her husband, Coleman in 2010.
