Bonnie Dell (Sims) Toups

Bonnie Dell Sims Toups was born on August 12, 1942, in Texas City to William D. Sims and Joanna Daniels Sims.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Donald Sims and Larry Sims.

She is survived by her brother, Billie Sims; her children, Nan Marie Toups Buchanan and Jerry Daniel Toups Jr.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Bonnie dedicated much of her life to her family as a stay-at-home mother before joining the Admissions Department at Lamar University. She was known for her kindness and ability to bring joy to others.

Bonnie passed away on November 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and happiness that endures through her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Lost Prairie Cemetery, with Rev. Tracy Sims officiating.
