Services are pending for Carla Reeves Harten, of Kerrville (under the direction of Wright Funeral Parlor in Kerrville.)
The Lord God has called Carla Harten home to Him in the Kingdom of Heaven on August 02, 2026, at her home in Kerrville with her family that will miss her terribly.
Carla Kay Reeves was born on July 08, 1964, In Mexia, Texas, to Sandra Bates Reeves and Chester Reeves. She was raised in Thornton, Oletha and Old Union communities, where she formed the roots of her character; faith, resilience, and kindness. Carla attended Groesbeck ISD and was baptized into the Church of Christ by Brother Richard Williams, a moment that marked the beginning of her lifelong devoted to the Lord.
After leaving Groesbeck ISD in 1981, Carla earned her GED, entered the workforce, and later returned to her education with determination and purpose. She attended Navarro College and Hill Junior College before proudly receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas.
For the past 34 years, Carla built a warm, loving, and faith filled home with her most beloved and devoted husband Timothy Harten. Timothy was the light of her life, her constant companion, her joy, and her greatest blessing. Together, they placed their faith in Jesus Christ and held the love of the Lord God above all else. Their marriage stood as a testament to grace, devotion and unwavering faith that joined their union rooted in God's love and guided by His hand.
Carla was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, L.W. and Margaret Bates; her paternal grandparents, Finis and Madeline Reeves; and her beloved in-laws, Voldemar and Sue Ellen Harten.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Timothy Harten; her cherished mother, Sandra O'Leary; and her devoted Godmother, Jean Freizen. Carla is also survived by her brothers, Billy Reeves and Kevin Reeves, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
