Dennis OLeary

Dennis OLeary, of Groesbeck, passed away at Providence Hospital on Monday, July 20, 2020, at age 71.

A private Memorial service will be held at a later time.

Dennis was born January 18, 1949 to Charles OLeary and Virginia Coen OLeary in California.  In 1967, after high school, he went into the U. S. Air Force and spent eight years as a helicopter mechanic and pilot.

In 2000, Dennis and Sandra were married.  He worked as a carpenter, running his own business, while living in Kerrville for ten years, prior to retiring and moving to rural Groesbeck.   He and Sandra have made their home here the past ten years.

Dennis loved watching NASCAR racing on TV and enjoyed fishing.  He was a member of the Davis Prairie Church of Christ.   He was quite active and he loved his family and his church family.  

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.   He is survived by his wife, Sandra OLeary of Groesbeck; his son, Shawn OLeary of Arizona; and his brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Dusty OLeary of Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Thornton Cemetery.
