Donna Gail (Mills) Siler

Donna Gail Mills Siler died in Missouri City, Texas on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the age of 77.

Born November 11, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas, Donna was the daughter of Dorothy Ann Trotter Mills and Marvin Pete Mills, both of whom predeceased her.

Donna spent her formative years in Fort Worth, Texas graduating from Paschal High School in 1965. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin University in 1969.

It was in Nacogdoches, Texas where Donna met and married her husband, Jay Paul Siler of Sweeny, Texas on November 23, 1969, who predeceased her in 2009.

After graduation Donna and Jay moved to Lake Jackson, Texas where Donna continued to pursue her passion in elementary school teaching. She received many honors for excellence in teaching. Donna shared her kind and loving heart with children for over 30 years, after which she retired to Groesbeck, Texas.

Donna is survived by her devoted son Gage Siler of Sugarland, Texas and her grandson Nicholas Siler of Conroe, Texas, her sister-in-law Martha McArthur of Wichita Falls, Texas as well as several cousins and community friends.

Graveside services will be held at the Faulkenberry Cemetery in Groesbeck on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00a.m. The service will be officiated by The Reverend Doctor Fran Shelton of Dallas, Texas.
