Gerald Lynn Reagan, Sr., of Groesbeck, passed away at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at age 84.

Services are pending at this time, and will be announced on this website once the date and time is arranged.

Gerald was born July 20, 1942, to William Franklin Reagan and Emma Janice (Mullens) Reagan in Groesbeck. He grew up in Groesbeck, and graduated from Groesbeck High School, in the Class of 1960, and had participated in football, basketball, and volleyball during his high school years. As an adult, he served in the U. S. National Guard.

Gerald was united in marriage with Joan Hope Sanders in December, 1964. They lived in Groesbeck, and were the parents of three sons.

Gerald worked over 40 years with the telephone company, which was Gulf States United when he began in 1963, and Sprint when he retired.

Gerald and his brother Richard had grown up doing carpenter work with their Dad. He continued with carpenter work all his life, and had built many houses in the area, working after hours from the phone company, on weekends and during his vacations. When he was not working otherwise, he stayed busy helping his mother by tilling her garden and mowing, and always wanted to stay busy as long as his health allowed.  He was a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church in Groesbeck.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; aunts and uncles; a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Reagan; and his brother Richard Reagan.

He is survived by his son, William Reagan of Groesbeck; son, Gerald Reagan, Jr. of Groesbeck; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Denise Reagan of Lake Dallas; 3 grandchildren, Rachel Reagan of Lake Dallas, David Reagan of Groesbeck and Rebecca Reagan of Groesbeck; and his sister-in-law, Nancy Reagan and three nieces and their husbands - Mary Franks, Molly Bishop, both of Colorado Springs and Amanda Day of Spring; and also by many friends.
