On December 22nd, 2025, surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren Isabel (Nino) Alfaro, decided it was time to join her beloved husband, Guadalupe (Lupe) Alfaro, in paradise. What a great reunion that must have been.

Isabel was born on January 2nd ,1929, to Felipe Nino and Nicolasa Hernandez Nino on the Rainey Ranch in Caldwell County, Texas. Isabel grew up with her Hernandez family in the Mendoza/Lockhart area. While visiting her mother in Mamulique, NL Mexico, she saw and fell in love with Guadalupe Alfaro. On January 9th, 1954, they were united in marriage. Upon returning to Texas and settling down in the Big Hill Community, where she lived for over 70 years and raised her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Alfaro, mother Nicolasa Hernandez, father, Felipe Nino, daughter Conchita Alfaro, son in law Ricky Haston, grandson David Elmore, great-grandson Greyson Alfaro, brothers: Juan Nino (Dora Nino), Jesus Lomas, Ramon Lomas, Arsenio Lomas, Fernando Lomas, sisters: Benita Nino Ruiz (Hilario Ruiz), and San Juanita Nino Contreras, father and mother in law Robustiano and Nicolasa Alfaro, brothers in law Marcelo Alfaro, Evaristo Alfaro, Roberto Alfaro, DelFino Alfaro,, sisters in love: Dora C Nino, Socorro Alfaro-Casas and Micaela Alfaro-Lerma, Marcelina Alfaro and Margarita Alfaro.

She is survived by:

Our Mommy was loved by many and will be greatly missed. The void left in our hearts is filled with beautiful memories. We will miss you Mommy until we see you again.

Visitation will be at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel from 5 PM until 7:30 PM and Rosary will be recited at 6 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

A graveside service with The Rite of Committal will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Big Hill Cemetery with Deacon Gordon Lee officiating.
