Jeffery was born October 15, 1951 in Marlin to Bobby Ray Wimberly and Dorothy (Murkovitch) Pennington.   He grew up in Groesbeck and attended Groesbeck Schools, graduating in the Class of 1970.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents who raised him, Ira Abner “Shang” Wimberly and Mary Helen Wimberly.

Jeffery is survived by his son, Clay Wimberly of Lake Limestone; son, Jeffery Lynn Wimberly, Jr. of Thornton; son, Chris Wimberly of Thornton; daughter, Renee Hill of Clovis, CA; the mother of his children, Kynda Morehead of Groesbeck; a brother, Chris Fischer of Mexia; and many “Amazing” grandchildren and great grandchildren.
