Chief Joseph Standingbear also known as Jose Morales, Jr. of Thornton passed from this life on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at his home.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am - 2:00pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel.

A graveside service will be held immediately following visitation at Indian Paintbrush Hill Cemetery located at the family's home with Chief Jessica Singing Buffalo and Clyde Baker speaking.
