Leroy Nelson

Leroy Nelson, born December 26, 1936 and passed away April 2, 2026.

Leroy was a wonderful man who spent his life working hard, helping others and loved his family deeply. He was the kind of man who could fix anything and was always there when someone needed a helping hand. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, loved his dogs dearly and cherished every moment spent with his family and friends. He found joy in the simple things in life and could always make you laugh or smile. Leroy was a proud navy veteran who also had a generous heart. He was a faithful supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Nelson, his mother, Wartie Lee, his son, Doug Nelson, his daughter, Vicki Nelson and his sisters, Louise, Judy, Margaret and Kathleen.

He leaves behind his youngest daughter, Traci Watford, her husband, David and his two grandsons, Tyler and Travis, who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. He also leaves behind his brother, James and his family, stepson, Mark Perez Jr and his nieces and nephews.

Leroy will be deeply missed, but his family finds comfort in knowing that he has been made whole again and is now in the presence of our Lord. He will live on forever in our hearts.
