Linda Pearl Knaub, age 79, of Axtell passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Groesbeck LTC surrounded by her family.

A memorial celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Holmes officiating.

Linda was born in Chesapeake Bay, Maryland on January 18, 1946 to Aldern Allen and Essie Marcella (Coble) York.

Linda met and married BC Lee, Sr. and together they had 4 children, and was one of the founders of Lee's Drive In at Waco, TX. When she was younger, she loved to fish, feed the Hummingbirds, watch all the birds in her yard and spend time with her family and grandkids, and take care of her flowerbeds and garden.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, BC Lee, Sr., and a second husband Don Knaub; son, Robert E. Lee, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Mitzi Ann (Culverhouse) Lee and brothers, George York and William York.

Linda is survived by her children and spouses, BC Lee and Natalie of Axtell, Alfred Lee of Lacy Lakeview, and Barbie Chapa and Alex, III; grandchildren include, Brandon Lee and Megan, Miranda Lee and Richard, Elizabeth Lee and Julian, Robert E. Lee and Kennedy, Dylan Lee, Kyle Lee, Anthony Lee, Austin and Elizabeth Lee, Joseph and Monica Lee, Justin and Christina Lee, Jacquelyn and Matthew Contreras, Chelsea and Daniel Martinez, Alex Chapa, IV, Tyler Garcia, Dominic Rosales, II, Tiffany Crawley, and Jonathan Crawley; great grandchildren, Ava, Elijah, Fenix, Za’riyah, Qii’ari, Brandon, Hazel, Nyla, Waylon, Aaric, Hunter, Nathan, Mariah Jo, Joseph, Jade, Anthony, Isabella, Joseph, Jr., Sophia, Marianna, Lehlani, Daniel, Jr., and Alexandria. Her siblings include Mary Holder, Laverne Mitchell, Leon York, Bob Wells York, Robert York, Clinton York, and Clifford York. She also has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family as well as Coy York, Craig Shelton, Marcela (Shelton) Chavez that hold a very special place in her heart.

The family would like to make special mention of Leah, Carolyn, and Luke Stokes of Providence Hospice for their exceptional care, and love they showed in her last weeks.
