Lloyd S.
McCormick
July 26, 1949 – June 10, 2026
Lloyd S. McCormick, 76, of Lake Limestone, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, generosity, laughter, and unwavering love for his family and friends.
Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before dedicating much of his career to protecting and serving others. He worked as a K-9 Police Officer with the Grapevine Police Department and later served as a Deputy for the Limestone County Sheriff's Office and Bailiff for the Limestone County District Court. Throughout his life, he was known as a provider, protector, and someone people could always count on in times of need.
Lloyd was a unique blend of big-city spirit and country heart. He loved the outdoors and found joy in fishing, riding his Harley, caring for his yard and lake house, and spending time with his beloved dogs. He never passed up a can of Coke, enjoyed watching Westerns and game shows, and took pride in the simple things that made life meaningful.
Those who knew Lloyd will remember his generous heart, sharp wit, and stubborn determination. He never met a stranger and treated everyone with the same respect and kindness. He was blunt in the best ways, stood his ground when it mattered, and was always willing to help someone find their way out of trouble. His sentimental nature was often hidden beneath his tough exterior, but those closest to him knew how deeply he loved and cared for the people in his life.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda McCormick; his daughters: Lesley Clurman and her husband, Ross; Lindsey Rekieta; Pam Ragan; and Amanda Brown. He also leaves behind his sister, Sandra Biehl; his special nephew, James Curry, his wife, Caitlin, and their children, Miley and Rhett; his special niece, Kasey Logan, her husband, Kyle, and their children, Bryant and Todd and special niece Dani Magruder and husband Josh; his special friend, Bill Silk; his cherished canine companions, Charley and Jax; grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and friendship.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Legal and Billie Ruth McCormick, and his two sisters, June Tiner and Ann Geer.
Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, Lloyd’s legacy lives on through the countless lives he impacted with his generosity, humor, loyalty, and strength. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Details for a Celebration of Life honoring Lloyd will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will be invited to gather and share stories, laughter, and memories of a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers and other condolences, please donate to LARAS House at P.O. Box 1568, Mexia, Texas 76667 in his memory.
