Lynn Pippin

May 4, 1921 — August 2, 2020

Lynn A. Pippin, age 99 of Palestine (formerly of Groesbeck -Red Hill), entered heaven on August 2, 2020 and joined his beloved wife, Martha Pippin. 

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Saturday the 8th day of August 2020, from 9:00am until 10:00am at Groesbeck Funeral Home. 

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Lynn Pippin will be conducted Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 10:00 am in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Jon Honea officiating. Burial will follow at the Pippin Cemetery. 

Lynn was born on the 4th day of May 1921 in Groesbeck, Texas to Ernest “Bud” and Lola Belle Pippin. Lynn graduated from Groesbeck High School. 

Lynn was a truly remarkable man with a strong will. He was incredibly caring, genuine and a father figure to many. He would always ask about you and yours and when he saw you again he would inquire, remembering every detail you had shared. Wherever he went he made friends. He loved his Groesbeck Goats High School Sports, the Baylor Girls Basketball and let’s not forget his sweet tooth and his love for candy!  He also had a love for auctions, antique furniture and repairing furniture. 

Lynn retired from Crown Central Petroleum in Pasadena, Texas. He and his wife Martha Pippin owned and operated the Groesbeck Antique Mall. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Bud and Lola Pippin; wife Martha Pippin; daughter Paula Schuetz. 

Mr. Pippin is survived by daughter Linda Alaniz of Cleveland, Tx; daughter Merilee Odom and husband Will of Normangee, Tx; daughter Lisa Ward and husband Doc Ezell of Palestine, Tx;  grandchildren, Rhonda Pollard and husband Darrell, Cathy Fuentes and husband Raul, Melinda Steadham and husband Dann, Leah Rosamond, Joseph Alaniz, Daniel Alaniz, Valerie del Bosque and husband Francisco, Joshua Odom and wife Kelly, Larry Odom and wife Tammy, Brandon Schuetz and wife Kassy, Katie Schuetz, and Megan Schuetz.   The great grandchildren are: Dell Pollard and wife Lisa, Drue Pollard, John Cruz, Allison Cruz, Nicholas Cruz and wife Anna, Danielle Steadham, Ian Steadham, Aron Garcia and wife Amy, Bo del Bosque and wife Keelann, Alejandra del Bosque, Emmett del Bosque, Jaxson Odom, Jake Odom, Jessica Guerra and husband Cesar, Meaghan Boazman and husband Kaleb, KaLeigh Odom, and  McKenzie Schuetz.  He also leaves behind a number  of other relatives and close friends; and his loving cats Boots and Scooter. 

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Heart to Heart Hospice, the staff at Legacy at Town Creek, and to his personal caregivers: Lynda Pinson, Audrey Cadina, Aimee Moore, and Shandel Richardson.  You provided exceptional care to him.  We give you our greatest and warmest gratitude.  We love you.
