Margarita “Maggie” Guerra, of Wichita Falls and formerly of Dallas, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at Wichita Falls.
Margarita was born December 15, 1982, in Dallas to Cindy (Cargile) Pantoja. She grew up in Dallas, where she attended school. As a little girl and as a teenager, she was a happy child, and she remained a happy laughing woman all her life. She was a very caring and kind-hearted person, and would tell her mother, “Mommy, don’t worry.”
Maggie was manager of a Dairy Queen in Dallas for many years. She moved to Wichita Falls about six years ago to work for MHMR. She loved spending her time at home making crafts and loved anything that glittered and sparkled.
She had to give up her job due to illness, while she was battling multiple myeloma for the past three years. She had been packing up and planning to move to Groesbeck to be with her mother and grandmother, when she suddenly had a fatal heart attack. She will be dearly missed by her mother and grandmother.
Margarita was preceded in death by her grandfather, Thomas A. “Little Pete” Cargile, Jr.; great uncle, L.G. Sledge; 2nd.cousin, Matt Sledge and his mother, Sue Ellen Harten.
She is survived by her mother, Cindy Cargile Pantoja of Groesbeck; her grandmother, Edna Slaughter of Groesbeck; and cousins Timothy and Carla Harten of Kerrville.
