Murray Allen Stockinger II, beloved son of Murray and Angela Stockinger, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the age of 48. A resident of Groesbeck, Texas, Murray was born in Carbondale, Illinois, on August 23, 1977. At the age of seven, his family moved to Texas, where he grew up alongside his parents and sister.

Murray is survived by his loving parents, Murray and Angie Stockinger, and his sister, Melody Sadler, and her husband, Bill David Sadler. He was the cherished uncle of Blane and Ava Sadler.

Murray was a proud graduate of Groesbeck High School, Class of 1995. He went on to attend Texas A&M University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree and his Master’s degree from Texas A&M University Bush School of Government and Public Service. Following his graduation, Murray began his professional career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Murray deeply loved his family and friends and enjoyed staying connected with those he cared about. He will be remembered for his kind heart, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Keith Collier officiating, and a private family burial will follow. 

Pallbearers will be David Flowers, Mark Austin, Clint Wilson, Jason Sandell, John Smith, Blane Sadler, and Bill Sadler.  Honorary bearers include Greg Hubbs and Duane Hubbs. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Murray to a charity of your choice, or flowers may be sent in his honor.
