Patsy Ann "Pat" Riddle

March 17, 1953 — May 13, 2021

Patsy Ann “Pat” Riddle, of Kosse, passed away on May 13, 2021 at Limestone Medical Center, at age 68.

Pat was born March 17, 1953 to Robert Riddle and Frances Martin Riddle in St. Louis, Missouri.    She grew up and attended school there, but the family moved just before her graduation.  They moved to Florida and eventually to Texas, living in Beaumont and Bacliff before moving to Kosse in 1992.

Pat was artistic, making pottery during college classes, and she was very good at drawing.   She was especially great at cooking, and her best meals often happened when she grabbed items on hand and threw them together to make a fine meal.

She had previously worked as a bus driver and security guard at Clear Lake.  After moving to Kosse, she worked at a convenience store and then started driving a school bus for Groesbeck ISD in 1996.     She made a lasting impression on many of the children riding her bus.   She retired after seventeen years and devoted her time to taking care of her family, including taking care of her parents before they passed away.  Taking care of everyone was her priority and enjoyment in life.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Richard Riddle; and her nephew, Robert Lee Riddle, whom she had raised in her home when he was a baby.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Robert Hines of Kosse; grandchildren, Patrick Hines, Payton Hines, and Robert Hines, Jr. all of Kosse; sister, Diana Sanders and her children, Leslie Hoffpauir, Patty Sanders, and John Sanders, all of Riverside; and sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Farrell Smith of Huntsville and their children, Wendy and Cindy.
