Remington Scott Masters

December 28, 2001 — June 7, 2019

Remington Scott Masters, of Thornton, passed away at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston on Friday, June 7, 2019, at age 17, following an eight-month battle with cancer.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Groesbeck Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 14, 2019 in the Groesbeck High School Auditorium (1202 N. Ellis St., Groesbeck.)  Pastors Randy Ayres and Tracy Sims will officiate, with music by Stacy Duffield and David Neal.  Burial will follow in Cobb Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Conner Copeland, Dylan Rand, Wes Hagen, Flynt Noey, Zack Goodman, Coltin Lenamond, Coach Hale, Tyrique Carter, and Luke Fife.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Masters, Beau Pagel, Craig Hunter, Rhett Hagen, Randal Masters, Kristopher Masters, Cole Shugart, Kane Sullivan, and Zayne Fulmer.

Remington was born December 28, 2001 to Mason Keith Masters and Jennifer Elaine Winstead Fife. Remington was a Junior at Groesbeck High School, a Varsity football player, and fisherman and hunter.   He loved to hog hunt, drive fast and chase Ryleigh, who was dear to his heart. 

Remington was preceded in death by his great grandparents:  Don and Grace Wilkins, Wesley and Louise Winstead, Fred and Betty Masters, James E. “Shorty” Robison; and his uncle, Blake McIntire.

He is survived by his Dad and Step-Mom, Keith and Mandi Masters of Thornton; Mom and Step-Dad, Isaac and Jennifer Fife of Thornton; brother and sister-in-law, McKenzie and Harlie Masters of Groesbeck; sister, Raylee Masters of Thornton; brothers, Luke Fife and Wade Fife of Thornton; grandparents:  Mason and Debra Masters of Mexia, Randy and Kathy O’Bryant of Groesbeck, Donna and Rickey Tapley of Mexia, Robert and Denise Winstead of Groesbeck, and Jimmy and Dianne Fife f Montgomery; and great grandmother, Melita Robison of Thornton.
