Shelli Patrice (Martin) Price, of Golinda, passed away at Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, with her family by her side, on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at age 51.

There will be visitation at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, beginning at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Funeral services in the Chapel will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, with Jon Tidball officiating. Burial will follow in Hogan Cemetery (306 CR 792), Groesbeck.

Pallbearers will be Erick Price, Todd Martin, Rodney Clower, Sky Wright, Blaine Cherry, and Nick Kyser.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gentry Wright, Chas Bury, and Jared Bishoff.

Shelli was born October 30, 1972 in Austin, TX. to Steve Wilson Martin and Shirley Kirkpatrick. She grew up and attended school in Groesbeck. As an adult, Shelli lived in Waco many years where she raised her two daughters. She spent her life working and taking care of her kids.

Shelli was united in marriage with Erick Price on August 12, 2015, and they settled in Golinda, with her daughters and grandchildren living nearby. Shelli enjoyed any family event, and anytime the family spent at Lake Limestone and the river, swimming, fishing and camping.

From childhood and throughout her life, Shelli had beautiful eyes and a wonderful smile and contagious laugh, which she passed along to her two daughters. They enjoyed many family game nights. Although they were all very competitive, these were happy times of laughter, even the nerf gun fights. What fun it was for the grandchildren. Shelli thought the grandkids could do no wrong and their parents were not allowed to be too hard on them.

She enjoyed crafting, involving her daughters to help, and could make things from anything, such as baskets from rolled pieces of magazines (which took a lot of rolling!) Shelli could sing amazingly and sang all the time, whether in the car, living room, singing the babies to sleep, or karaoke (with “old country” songs most of the time.) She kept all the family in line – she was the voice, she was the backbone, and she was the leader of the family. She was thoughtful, compassionate, and understanding of anybody’s situation. Those who knew her instantly loved her. No words can express how completely amazing her family describes her. She will be dearly remembered and missed.

Shelli was preceded in death by her father, Steve Martin (3-13-1990); and a grandson, Karsyn Wright (5-31-2015).
