Tina Sawyer

Tina (Williams) Sawyer, of Groesbeck, passed away at Limestone Medical Center on Friday, June 5, 2026, at age 81.

Tina was born August 19, 1944, to Rual Pat Williams, Jr. and Mary Lou (Clark) Williams in Houston. She grew up and attended school in Kingsville. She lived most of her adult life in Houston and later in life in Huffman.

Tina worked for the public in healthcare in private homes. She worshipped with the “500 Club” on television, making donations and calling in on the prayer line, and also enjoyed other religious programs. She was a widow.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Rudy. She loved sitting on the back porch watching birds eating out of the bird feeder, and loved feeding the squirrels every day. She loved going with her friends to watch movies and get massages.

Tina and Rudy moved to Goresbeck to be near her daughter Cheryl and grandchildren in the last two years.

Tina was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Clark, sister, Cindy Lopez, and son, Patrick Payne.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Gray of Groesbeck; and grandchildren: Ashley and Jacob Hardin of Groesbeck, Bryan Payne of Iowa Park, TX, Jon Payne of Midland, Mykel Payne of Midland, and Ava Payne of Midland; and great grandchildren, Kyndel and Nakayah Herring of Groesbeck, Layne Herring of Missouri, Jayde Herring of Groesbeck, Kaydance Hardin of Groesbeck, Kaden Hardin and Kolten Hardin of Groesbeck; and her beloved Rudy.
