Todd Allen Seidel

December 24, 1961 — June 10, 2022

Todd Allen Seidel, of Thornton, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at age 60.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 3 PM in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben David Watson officiating.

Todd was born December 24, 1961, in Lockhart, to Vernon Emil Seidel and Ruby Janice (Parrish) Seidel.   He grew up in Austin and was a Lanier High School Viking.   Todd continued to live in Austin, working and starting his family, until he was twenty-six.

He moved to Groesbeck where he worked and raised his 3 children, and later moved to Thornton.  He was a contractor and a very good electrician, but actually a “jack of all trades” doing whatever work was necessary to provide for his family.

Todd was a pretty good athlete and was really good in softball.  He coached and played co-ed softball and could hit the ball out of the park until he blew out his elbow.   Todd’s first priority in his life was his grandchildren, followed by his love of hunting and fishing, which he enjoyed teaching to the grandchildren.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Beverly Pollard.

He is survived by his three children and grandchildren: son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Valerie Seidel of Groesbeck and their daughter Quinn; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Kim Seidel of Katy and their son Mason; and daughter and son-in-law, Kalee and Colin Lenamond of Groesbeck and their children, McKinley, Kayson, Kyleigh, Lane, Brynlee, and Whitley.   He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Scott Seidel and Stephanie McPeak of Austin; nephew, Cameron and his wife, Julia Seidel; niece, Courtney Seidel; and brother-in-law, James Pollard of Buckholts and niece, Shelby Pollard.
