Virginia Lee was born December 21, 1938 to Otha “Bill” Henderson and Hazel White Henderson in Old Union, TX.  As a young girl she loved playing with her paper dolls.   She graduated from Groesbeck High School with the Class of 1957.  As a young adult, she had fond memories working with her Daddy at the Texas Café.  After living on the coast for a short time, she returned to Groesbeck to work at the Henderson Flower Shop for over 50 plus years, working first with her Momma and Daddy and then with her son.

She loved deeply and cared for her family and her home was a place of blessings, comfort and a haven to each of them.

She had a strong faith and love for the Lord.  She walked the walk and talked the talk and nothing gave her greater joy than to know that she could teach her family to come to know the Lord.

Virginia was preceded in death by father and mother, Otha “Bill” and Hazel Henderson; brother Darvin Deen (Sonny Boy) Henderson; sister, Betty Lou Henderson; brother-in-law, Norman Jones; and great-niece, Kristi McCoy.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lew and Sharree Stewart of Groesbeck; daughter, Shelley Stewart of Groesbeck; granddaughter, Jenny Arellano; grandson and wife, Brian and Shauna Stewart; grandson, Curtis Brandon Cates; great granddaughter and husband, Shelby and Logan Fox; great grandson, Cameron Cates; great grandson, Conner Arellano; great granddaughter, Chloe Cates; great grandson, Gabe Arellano; great granddaughter, Audrey Stewart; great granddaughter, Katie Stewart; great-great grandsons, Jace Fox and Orion Fox and twin Fox boys “on the way.”    She is also survived by her sisters Marvaline Jones and Mary McGowan; and nieces and nephews, Becky Moring, Cammie Henderson, Tammy Henderson, Chip Henderson, Shauna Brady, and Brett McGowan and their families; and many other extended family.
